Khalid Tash, the Chief Marketing Officer of Saudia Airlines, emphasized that the focus is not on altering the logo or color scheme but on enhancing service delivery and launching innovative products.

He further highlighted the positive market response received thus far. Tash stated that Saudia Airlines, alongside other airlines in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, proactively embarked on implementing artificial intelligence solutions to cater to their customers’ needs.

In this regard, he explained that ‘Travel Companion’ is an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot which is a tool for providing all travel-related needs.

“When users access the Saudia app, it automatically identifies them without asking for any data and provides instant assistance with all travel-related queries.”

Regarding more capabilities of the travel companion, he said that users can also consult it about vacations, which will first try to know their preferences through conversation and then offer suggestions.

Apart from this, users can also book their flights by chatting with their travel companions.

This artificial intelligence-powered chatbot will be launched later this year.

“Our focus on digital transformation goes beyond mere rhetoric as we strive to enhance the customer experience through innovative approaches.

Additionally, the airline has recently introduced the ‘VIP Meet and Greet’ service in anticipation of a 10% growth in revenue.

In alignment with Arab culture, the airline has now provided a unique seating option for female passengers, enabling them to be seated with fellow female travelers upon request.”

Khalid Tash said that the unprecedented development in the tourism sector of the kingdom is also proving beneficial for the airline.

He specifically mentioned the fact that Saudia airlines was the first airline to start operations at the Red Sea International Airport.

Khalid Tash revealed that the airline aims to more than triple its passenger numbers in the next seven years.

He said that historically the purpose of the Saudia airlines was to connect the citizens of the kingdom with the world, but the current goal is to bring the world to Saudia Arabia.
