The Mate 60, Huawei's Most Advanced Phone, Launched with Superior Cameras
Huawei’s Mate 60 family just got a new addition, the impressive Huawei Mate 60 Pro+. This device builds on the foundations set by the regular Pro model but steps things up a notch.

Design and Display

The Pro+ boasts a large 6.82” LTPO OLED display, the same as the Pro model. However, it goes a step further by offering slightly more vivid visuals with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,720 pixels.

The 10-bit panel display offers an adaptable refresh rate that can range from as low as 1Hz, all the way up to a swift 120Hz. The Pro+ also has a super-speedy 300Hz touch sampling rate and uses a high-frequency PWM dimming at 1,440Hz for managing brightness.

All these tech features are well protected beneath the second-generation Kunlun glass. The Pro+ is seriously sturdy too, with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, meaning it can survive depths of up to 20 feet (6 meters) for 30 minutes. Now, that’s pretty cool!

Inside Scoop on Hardware and Software

Huawei is being a bit sneaky and hasn’t yet let the cat out of the bag about the chipset that’s powering their Mate series. However, it’s a seriously open secret that it’s most likely the 7nm Kirin 9000s, a made-in-China chipset.

Oh, and it brings 5G support to the table, all thanks to Huawei’s own tech.
Good news! The chipset now comes hand-in-hand with a whopping 16GB of RAM. That’s a major step up from the 12GB you’ll find in the Pro model, and it’s certainly not shy about storage options, either.

You can choose between a half-terabyte (512GB) or a massive one terabyte (1TB) of storage.
And Huawei still shows some love for expandable storage, via its unique NM card format. Even though the years are ticking by, it remains firm at a max capacity of 256GB.

Camera

The rear camera configuration includes a major 48MP sensor along with an OIS-equipped lens offering variable apertures, varying from f/1.4 to f/4.0. These are complemented by a periscope lens with a 48MP sensor and 3.5x optical zoom featuring OIS.

Moreover, the ultra-wide camera received an impressive upgrade, now featuring a 40MP sensor. This is a significant increase compared to the 12MP sensor seen in the other two Mate 60 models.

Similar to the more affordable models, the Mate 60 Pro+ also has three punch holes in the display—designated for a 13 MP selfie camera and a 3D ToF (Time of Flight) system.

Battery & Pricing

The battery system stays steady offering a 5,000 mAh capacity, capable of fast charging at 88W through USB-C or at 50W wirelessly courtesy of Huawei’s proprietary technology. Furthermore, it offers 20W reverse wireless charging, proving useful for charging other devices. Fast data transfer support is provided via the USB 3.1 Gen 1 compatible USB-C port.
