A minimum of 3,000 hours of recent command will be required on aircraft such as the A330, A340, A350, and A380.

Similarly, recruitment under the Accelerated Command Program requires pilots to have at least 3,000 hours of command time on aircraft of 50 tons or more with at least 6,000 hours on multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft.

Having flown at least 700 flight hours and 2 successful recurrent checks pilots become eligible for an accelerated command upgrade program, the required experience usually over a period of a little more than one year. is obtained.

Additionally, candidates for recruitment as a First Officer at Emirates must have multi-engine, multi-crew aircraft experience, a valid International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), and a maximum take-off of 20 tonnes.
