Battagram: Two children trapped in a chairlift during the SSG operation have been rescued.

According to Media Reports, three children stuck in a chairlift in Battagram have been rescued in a sling operation, and two children have been brought down safely to the ground.

A ground rescue operation is underway after a helicopter rescue of a child, the helicopter rescue operation has been halted due to night and weather conditions.

Army’s rescue operation is going on by alternative methods, another small dolly has been put on the same wire, and the rest of the people will be rescued through the small dolly.

The first rope broke when the chairlift went a mile

The children were going to their school by chairlift at 7 am when two of the three ropes of the lift broke and the chairlift got stuck at a height of about 900 feet.

Gulfaraz, the person trapped in the chairlift, said that 6 children and 2 people were riding in the chairlift at 6 am, at 7 am the first rope of the chairlift and then the second one broke, the chairlift went a mile and then the first rope broke.

Gulfraz shared that they’ve been stuck on the chairlift since morning, waiting anxiously for help to arrive. There are eight of them – including kids aged between 10 and 13 – hanging there helplessly.

They’ve been trapped for a good long five hours now. What’s even more distressing is that one of the boys – who suffers from a heart condition and was on his way to the hospital – has been unconscious for the last three.

To add to their woes, they’ve run out of refreshments and even water. And, as luck would have it, their phone’s battery life is on its last leg.
